Hello everyone. How have you been?
2017 finished a half. Indeed "time and tide wait for no man".

The book which I drew an illustration will on sale June 7. Though it's written by only Japanese words, if you can read the word, I recommend to get the book.

Like that, Recent years I have more work (office and other illustrations), so I can get ahead with my lifework only bit by bit...But,
I've never forget my BD or novel project, and the works are in process. Thank you for my cheering up!

Happy birthday to Henri von Maltzahn（again）!

On this day is Günther Freiherr von Maltzahn. If he lived yet, he would become 106 years old on this year. If he alived... Happy birthday to Henri!

He was liked by his subordinates and his superiors as great commander and gentle character man. And he joined "Fighter Pilots' Revolt incident" against Hermann Göring. The end of war, he moved in his land Germany by an order, and went to the place at Germany which his wife's sister lives in. Though he wanted to continuing the battle as one of the German pilot, but he was captured by the US army. Soon, he became free again.
The sadly event that happened to his father in 1945, maybe you can imagine from people under the battle of Berlin. And the tragedy of Demmin happened. Henri's 2 brothers already have died in the war.

In post war, He began to learn the agriculture for his family's land. And this after, He had managed a winery. Next he work in the "Amt Blank"which is a forerunner of the Federal Ministry of Defence. Ex-Luftwaffe members called him as the one of a leader to reconstruction of the German Air Force.  I found on Wikipedia that he was a candidate for the position of Inspekteur der Bundesluftwaffe(空軍総監) of the German Air Force. His death is too early.

The uniform artwork: An artillery Oberleutnant at Sicily 1943

Hi! I painted the German artillery Oberleutnant.(But he is the Austrian)  This image is wartime Sicily in 1942-1943. He had to join in the army by the political system at the time. His Luftwaffe ace friend had already passed away by machine accident. So his face looks a little sad...
Actually I began to drawing his comic(which is something like Graphic Novel or Bande Dessinée). It's my pet project.

His scent image is Tilleul by D'Orsay. This original perfume was created in 1915 wartime France. The Polish artist Balthus(1908-2001) loved it. Recent version was made by wonderful perfumer Olivia Giacobetti. 

By the way...

And I got a work of illustrations from the new client. It's the illustration for public.  The client says that this work might become to a little long span. Though, the schedule will really tight.(the deadline is early April) Though I'm worrying about it, I will do my best.

1910 on this day(20 October ), Luftwaffe's Commander of JG53(Geschwaderkommodore des Jagdgeschwaders 53), Commander of Jagdfliegerführer Oberitalien,  and 68 victories' ace pilot which is the winner of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves(Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub), Günther "Henri" Freiherr von Maltzahn was born in Wodarg near Demmin, Pommern.

Hello, Cheerful Hauptmann!

Hi yo!

Hello everyone.

I painted cheerful Luftwaffe Hauptmann J after so long. I was drawing the Austro-Hungarian uniform series(I will keep to draw that), so I've forgotten many infos...haha.

He is my original character and has natural curly-haired.

Sometimes, no, he often says joke and imagines various funny ideas

(even if he is flying in the sky).

I'm thinking about his funny story...

Liberator crew

I painted B-24 Liberator crew. He is wearing B-3 sheepskin winter jacket and B-6 sheepskin winter helmet with AN-6530 goggles.
I didn't draw any nose arts, so I'll leave it to your imagination :-)

Uncle Alfred

Hi all.


Well, you know that I've sketched "Uncle Alfred" before, huh?

I just painted this color version. Luftwaffe pilot Alfred who is my novel's main character Joachim's uncle is wearing the lightweight tan summer flying suits "KSo/34". They wore this overall suits on the uniform.
And he has "LKp S 101" summer flight helmet and "Model 306" flying goggles of 2 piece large-lens type on his head. Model 306 is joined the 2 separate eyepieces.

His rank is Oberstleutnant.

Farewell to our best friend

This is my artwork for the story "My Little War".

in mid-1930s, their best friend Iwan and his family had to exile themselves for an unreasonable laws from the hometown. it was really sad thing...young Jochen and Marek thought that, "why did Iwan have to leave us?" but they couldn't understand...because the law was odd from any angle. even 2 boys understood it.

This is my artwork for the original story.

Iwan is Jochen and Marek's friend. he looks more mature than his age. Iwan was gentle, bright, creative, genial and sensitive boy, so he was popular in their class. he took Jochen to Iwan's acquaintance who run a furniture factory. Jochen and Iwan made the small chair. Yes, he knew that Jochen was hoping to be a furniture educator in the future, but already Bauhaus(they longed for there) was closed by Nazi party a few years ago.

Golz loves pink color. Fritz is just thinking about something. Georg is eating a lot in the big dish...very funny. so Todt becomes grumpy.

フリッツキャプテンの物語のレギュラーメンバーが決まりました。彼らの他に女性が2人、男の子1人と実在の人物エルヴィン・フォン・ラホウゼンさんとゲスト等が加わります。左からE.ゴルツ少佐、フリッツ海軍大佐、ゲオルク軍曹、トット海軍少尉です。フリッツ以外は皆35歳以上。漫画の低年齢化に歯止めをかけたいです（笑）スキャナーの調子があんまりよくないので、良い方のスキャナーで貼り直すかも？

Jochen M in September 1942

Hello all. I painted Jochen M artwork. On this time, he became Hauptmann. He is wearing Luftwaffe tropical long sleeve pullover shirt and Afrikakorps kurze hose (shorts) with Sam Browne belt. His shirt hasn't the breast eagle.

When I image his last days, I can't stop sorrow.

Hello all. I just painted this artwork about my original story in WWII. She is Michelle-Marie "Mimi", and he is Luftwaffe pilot Hauptmann Jochen M whose are French-German people. They are couples. (But they haven't married yet.)
Well, my characters always hasn't any models. But Jochen M has it...Do you know who is that? A certain someone who knows who he is can know. lol.
